Wenzel said he read an article in die Get IO issue of the Herald-Zatmg in which Dr. David Way, ophthalmologist, New Braunfels* Dr. Mitch Sacco, and Lion Joe Wort participated in a medical mission to Qmcun, Mexico. “Patients leave their old glasses when they receive new ones. It doesn’t take long to accumulate a big supply.” Wenzel said. Wenzel said he donated the glasses on behalf ofdie New Braunfels Rotary Chib. Historically, civic chibs are in competition, but when an opportunity is presented to cooperate in such a worthwhile endeavor, then personal affiliations are overlooked. Dr. Way accepted the glasses on behalf of die medical mission organized by the First Presbyterian Church of San Antonio. Dr. Way said, “It is impossible to know die magnitude of the need for eyeglasses in impoverished areas.
