Canyon Lake Women in Business
The last meeting of Canyon Lake Women in Business was held at the Woodlands Country Club on May 13.
The speaker was Martha Langer, a successful business Woman who spoke on MSuccess Tracks and Commitment."
A representative from the Women’s Shelter in San Antonio also made available a 24-hour hot line number for needy women.
The next meeting is scheduled for June IO at the Woodlands Country Club.
It will be a mini-seminar and, reservations are required and can be made by calling Pam Welch at 899-3458.
The Retired Eagles Club met on May 16 at Eagles Hall with 39 members present The members played cards and dominos dunng the afternoon. The next chib meeting is scheduled for June 18 at Eagles Hall from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m..
Members are asked to bring a covered dish, and the meat will be provided by the club. Those having a birthday or anniversary are to bring cake or cookies for that month. For more information call the publicity chairm-nan, James, at 625-3868.
AACOG Job Training
The Alamo Area Council of Government Employment and Job Training Division is proud to announce the Summer Youth Employment Training Program (SYTEP) which will again be offered in Comal County. The program targets youth between the ages of 14 and 21.
Interested persons may pick up SYTEP preapplications at the school counselors office or at the AACOG office located at 358 Landa
New Braunfels League
Memorial Day in New Braunfels means the annual Spring Art Show will be in full bloom once gain. Sponsored by the New Braunfels Art League.
The show and sale will be held in the Civic, Center at 380 South Seguin, Saturday, May 29 from IO a.m. to 6p..m., and on Sunday, May 30, from IO a.rn. to 5 p.m.Door prizes will be given away hourly.
And a Dalhart Windberg will be given away. Admission is free.
Coalition of Former Military Wives will meet Sunday June 13 at 2 p.m. at Shone/s Airport at Jones Maltsberger and 410 in Sain Antonio. A program on Assertiveness Training will be presented by Linda Cockridge of Laurel Ridge. For more information call 653 8668.
The Newcomers Club regular meeting will be June I at the Senior Citizen’s Center at 9:30 The topic will be the state of the aquifer and the impact on the future water use of New Braunfels.

A six-week sequential, task-oriented grief recovery workshop will be held from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings from May 4 to June 8.
