The New Braunfels Women’s Chamber of Commerce will hold its Networking Mixer from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Pinto Ranch Grill, 190 S. Seguin St. Mike Mayberry, a nationally known speaker on team building and leadership training, will speak. Admission is $6 for members, $8 for guests.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles , No. 2999 will have a joint birthday supper Tuesday. The cost is $2. Members with birthdays in May eat
The Comal Springs Chapter of the Colonial Dames of the XVII Century will hold its last meeting of the year on Tuesday. The luncheon meeting to be held the Gruene Mansion Inn will include installation of officers. Please call Mrs. Charles Motz for reservations.

The Hill Country Chorus, New
Braunfels* own chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, meets at 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the First Baptist Church’s Rice Hall on Cross Street. The group would like to have more men to help “Keep America Singing.” The Hill Country Choms is in aire need of tenors; you do not have to be an accomplished singer to be a Barbershopper.

The Comal County Women’s Center offers an ongoing support group called “Letting Go” from 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays. This program is designed for women whose lives are being affected by violence or abuse of a physical, emotional or sexual nature, whether ongoing or in the past. The goal is to come together to share experiences, gain self-understanding, learn to cope with daily living and to learn problemsolving and stress management skills. A children’s group meets at the same time. We ask that you call prior to your first meeting if you will be bringing your children.
