Bike rodeo scheduled May 21
It’s time for the SAFEhaven Bike Rodeo. NBU’s employee volunteer project will be sponsoring the fourth annual Bike Rodeo from 9 a.m. until noon May 21.
Kids ages 5 through 12 are invited to bring their bikes to the NBU Service Center, located at 355 FM 306, and ride through three new riding courses that are designed by bicycle safety expert Preston Tyree to safely simulate what young riders face on the streets.
SAFEhaven volunteers will conduct free bike safety inspections, make sure that every child’s bike helmet fits properly, register bikes for the New Braunfels Police Department and give a free bike helmet to the first 50 riders.
For even more excitement,
New Braunfels’ own bike shop, The Hub, will also be

In addition, riders will receive prizes from KNBT/KGNB radio and SAFEhaven bike reflectors while supplies last.
The McKenna Toddler Run and Family Health Forum will be held in conjunction with the Bike Rodeo, so there will be plenty of free entertainment, education and fun for kids and adults of all ages.
Flyers with bike safety inspection requirements will be distributed in local schools and by KGNB/KNBT.
Flyers and the bike safety inspection checklist can also be downloaded from the NBU Web site at www.nbu-texas.com.
