Payne, McKean to wed Warden, Gomez to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. McKean of New Braunfels announce the engagement of their daughter, Merlinda Laura, to Daryl Ray Payne of San Antonio. He is the son of Ms. Laura D. Payne of San Antonio and the late Jack M. Payne.
The Bride-elect is a graduate of Madison High School and attended
San Antonio Court Reporting Institute. She is currently pursuing her CSR Her fiance is a graduate of MacArthur High School and owns Hi Pressure of San Antonio.
The couple plans a June 29 wedding in First Protestant Church, New Braunfels.
Richelle L. Warden is engaged to marry Michael J. Gomez, both of New Braunfels.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Richard and Sheila Warden of New Braunfels. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1991 and attended Southwest Texas State University. She is employed with Walmart.
The future bridegroom is the son of George and Delia Gomez of New Braunfels. A 1991 graduate of New Braunfels High School, he is employed with Bluebonnet Motors.
The couple plans a May 18, 1996, wedding at Holy Family Church in New Braunfels.
Tillman and Reed wed in double-ring ceremony
Ceremony held at St. Paul Lutheran Church
Jodi Lynn Tinman and Clinton Gordon Reed, both of New Braunfels, were united in marriage May 4,1996, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in New Braunfels.
The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Judy Tillman of New Braunfels. The groom is the son of Gordon and Norma Reed of Canyon Lake.
The Rev. Charles DeHaven officiated die 7 pm, double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by organist Ada Sweet and soloist Cathy Talcott.
Escorted by her father, Jerry Tillman, die bride woic a gown by Forever Yuurs.
The bodice was encrusted with pearls and sequins and the skirt and train were of raw silk reflecting a medieval design. The tiara was of matching pearls with a waist-length veil.
Bouquets of stargazer rubrum lilies, bridal white roses and deep pink sprays accented by English Ivy created the floral motif.
The Maid of Honor and bridesmaids carried European ind-tied bouquets of stargazer rubrum lilies and salal foliage tied with a sheer paradise ribbon.
The church altar held a bouquet of white and deep pink blossoms and sheer ribbons and was flanked by two
seven-branch be-ribboned candelabras. The bride's entrance was accented by matching white and pink arrangements on the Communion Railing.
Laurie Hammann was the Matron of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Shannon Hurst, Denise Tillman, Ginna Tillman and Karen Reed.
Steven Harris was the Best Man.
Groomsmen were Thomas Ware, Daniel Garcia, Mark Harris and Frank Orozco. Jay Tillman and Jon Tillman served as ushers.
Kristen Small and Bethany Small were flower girls for the wedding. Vance Tillman Jr. served as ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at die Knights of Columbus Hall in New Braunfels, which was decorated with garlands of ivy and wreaths with hurricane lamps and white candles in silver holders highlighting each table.
Assisting with serving were Anna de Lemos, Linda Pinson, Susan Moore, Eva Hunnicutt and Bertha Chapa.
Kristen Pruitt was in charge of the bride’s book.
The Grand March was led by Hel-muth and Doris Salge.
After a wedding cruise to Cozumel, the couple will reside in San Antonio.
The groom is employed with Walmart Distribution Center. The bride is employed with Heahhsouth Physical Therapy.
Mrs. Jamie HendersonCohle, Henderson wed
Amy Kathryn Cohle of New Braunfels and Jamie Lee Henderson of Tyler were united in marriage April 20,1996, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ronald R. Cohle of New Braunfels. The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Martinez Henderson of Dumas, Texas.
Msgr. Eugene O'Callaghan officiated the 7 p.m. double-ring ceremony. Mrs. Margaret Ann Bird and Mrs. Car-olynn Benedict were lay readers for the service. Music was provided by organist Dr. Thomas Lee, trumpeter Sam Miller, and soloist Mrs. Cindy Panzram Appold.
Escorted by her father, Amy wore a formal couture gown of natural silk shantung by Mon Cheri featuring a re-embroidered fitted bodice, an off-the-shoulder portrait neckline, a Basque waistline, short sleeves, a cut-out square back arui bouffant skirt with semi-cathedral train and beaded butterfly peplum. A cathedral-length illusion veil fell from her headband of silk flowers, pearls, sprays and lace.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of white roses and stephanotis accented with pink livia roses and variegated English ivy.
The Maid of Honor was Miss Alison Paige Caldwell of Dallas. Bridesmaids were Amy's sisters, Laura Suzanne Cohle and Emily Elizabeth Cohle; Jamie’s sister Carrie D'Ann Hender
son; and life-long friend, Melissa Renee Pustka.
James Benjamin Reed of Snyder, Texas, was the Best Man. Groomsmen were the bride’s brother, Hagan Schertzer Cohle, and the groom’s friends, Dennis Haynes, Larry Pirkle and Kristopher Trust.
Serving as ushers were William Trevor Bird, Andrew Paul Caldwell, Daniel Franklin Dial IV, and Cody Wayne Guthrie.
Tile two flower girls were Arlyn Marie LaBelle and Amy Catherine Melick. Matthew Christian Pustka was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony a dinner dance reception was held on the banks of the Comal River in Landa Park. Guests were served from a buffet table beneath a canopy and then filtered out onto the lawn to eat at tables decorated with pale green cloths and baskets of spring flowers. The music of Al Sturchio and his band entertained until midnight. .„,v.
The bride’s four-tiered cake was embellished with gardenias, stephanotis and hoya vine. The chocolate groom’s cake was garnished with fresh strawberries and English ivy.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, die couple will reside in Tyler, Texas.
Tile groom is employed with Carrier Corp. as a mechanical engineer. The bride is employed with Doctor’s Memorial Hospital as a nurse.
