MAY 5. 1093t,..............        —..... ‘Pond’ slated for Lockhart ’Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Lockhart Community Theatre is presenting “On Golden Pond.” The original stage play is very-warm and humerous. Norman Thayer, played by John Allred, is approaching 80 and sees life slipping away, while his wife, Ethel, played by Toni Cheshire, remains active and vigorous. When daughter, Chelsea, played h£ Jessica Aijet, and her fiance, BJU Ray, played by Dwight Warren, go to Europe and leave his sen, Billy Ray, played John Causey, with Norman and Ethel fdr the summer, both the older aid younger generations learn to lc|>k at Life in a different way. Chelsea has to come to terms with her resentment against her father and realizes that there is little time left for a reconciliation. This is a very touching and humerous story for all ages. Production dates are May 7,8, 14, 21 and 22 at 8 p.m. and May 13 at 7 p.m. The Lockhart Community Theatre is located at the comer of Walnut and Commerce Streets in the Presbyterian Life Center, with the entrance on Walnut Street. Competition for he contest was divided into categories of fourth and fifth grade, middle school, high school and adult.
