Tickets are on sale now at China-n-Things and Johnson Furniture. The concert will be held at First United Methodist Church. St Ann's Christian Mothers will meet at 2 p.m. today at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Everett Fey will be the guest speaker. There will be an orientation for anyone interested in becoming a Red Cross volunteer at 9 a.m. Saturday in the conference room on the second floor of McKenna Memorial Hospital. Call 625-6148 with questions. The Fraternal Order of Eagles 2999 will have a joint Birthday Supper Monday. The cost is $2. Members with birthdays in March eat free. The Comal Springs Chapter, Colonial Dames of the XVII Century will hold its regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Hinman House next to Texas Commerce Bank. The program entitled “Guns Our Ancestors Used” will be given by Bonnie Solava. Hostesses will be Lewis Carpenter and Mrs. Charles Mote. The Comal County Republican Men's Club will give a legislative update at the 7:30 p.m. Tuesday meeting at the Guadalupe Valley Telephone Coop meeting room on FM 3159 in Smithson Valley. Ladies are invited to attend. The Book Review Club will meet at IO a m. Tuesday at the Senior Center. The book is “Pigs in Heaven” by Barbara Kingsolver. The Eagles Auxillary 2999 will have a membership party at 6:30 p.m. March 31. Bring a covered dish. f ; Bob Barber, financial planner, will present a special workshop, Retirement Investment Strategies from 9:30 to ll a.m. April I. The workshop is free, but reservations are necessary. They can be made by calling 609-6986. The New Braunfels Newcomers Club meets at IO a.m. April I at the Senior Citizens Center, 655 Lands St. New residents to the community are welcome to attend meetings and enjoy the hospitality hour which starts at 9:30 a.m. Comal County Panhellenic will hold a rush registration tea and general membership meeting at 2 p.m. April 6 at 417 Saddletree. The tea is for local girls interested in participating in college sorority rush programs. Alumnae will be present to discuss college life, time management and college ethics. Call 609-2689 for information. The Cancer Dialogue Support Group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at the Rock House behind Hospice, 613 N. Walnut. New Braunfels High School Class of 1960 will meet at 9 a.m. the first Saturday of every month at the New Braunfels Smokehouse for breakfast. A group of people with the desire to come together weekly for fellowship and study based on the 12-step model from a Christian perspective has formed “Bethesda Pool.” This group is open to the community and currently meets from 9:30 to 10:30 a m. The Hill Country Chorus, New Braunfels' own chapter of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America, meets at 7 p m every Tuesday at the First Baptist Church's Rice Hall on Cross Street.
