Head Start may redeem labels for free audio-visual equipment, athletic equipment, reference books, teaching aids, computers and more. Labels from Campbell’s Soup, Franco American, V-8 Juice, Prego, Swanson, Mrs. Paul’s, Vlasic, Open Pit, Pace are eligible for redemption. For more information, call Bambi Simpson at 210-379-8110. Literacy tutor workshop The Guadalupe, Bexar, and Comal County Literacy Council will hold a training session for those interested in tutoring non-readers or low level readers. The 10-hour workshop will be held Friday, April 12 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Adult Education Center, located at 703 Curtiss in Schertz. Pre-registration deadline is April 8. If you would like to tutor, or know of an adult who needs a tutor, call the Literacy Council at 945-6093, Monday Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a $5 registration fee and a literacy resource book can be purchased for $12. Dart League needs women New Braunfels Area Electronic Dart League set to start March 26. Female dart players are still needed, especially, but all players are welcome. Call Kelli at 606-3423. Art fair The Comal County Youth Homemaking and Art Fair will hold an auction Friday, March 15. Doors open at noon.
