PLANNED ACTIVITIES1 All program activities shall include outreach and recruitment, eligibly certification, objective assessment, and pre- and post-eval-u at urn. Program activities include: I) Academic Enrichment classroom training for youth ages 14-15, which will he integrating education and work applications activities; 2) Work Experience/Work-Based Learning activities for youth ages 16-21 which will integrate work-related competencies with the development of academic skills including GEIVTAAS preparation or summer school activities. if required; and 3) Special program activities which involve educational-coordi-nation programs and/or limited internships with private sector employers.
PLANNED OHTIOMKS: Goals and objectives arc as follows: I) Improve academic performance by facilitating classroom-based learning with "real" work applications of summer participants; 2) improve employability skills by offering workplace context activities in which work and teaming are integrated; and 3) improve in-school retention and completion by ensuring that in-school participants return to school.
