By JOHN KASTNER Correspondent For the first time since the murder of her husband last month in Northcliffe subdivision, both Susie Carroll and her mother-m law Nathala Moody have released statements concerning the murder charge in dictment handed down last week against 22 year-old JohnGuilliams Guilliams Susie Carroll’s brother, remains in Com a1 County Jail in lieu of HOU.GOU bond which he has been unable to post According to Guadalupe County Sheriff Melvin Harborth both Guilliams and a Marion youth are lodged in Comal County because of crowded jail conditions at the Seguin facility The arrangement is costing Guadalupe officials IJS a day No trial date for Guilliams has been set Conflicting reports stating Susie Carroll had been involved in the murder of her husband Kenneth prov ed to be false Guadalupe County Sheriff s Department in vestigator tavern Taft said Susie Carroll is not a suspect ami is not being investigated in connection with the case Said Carroll Most of the media and press throughout the area have been very unfair in their coverage of the entire murder ordeal and I would like to have the record set straight "My brother killed Kenneth.
