Charlie Madding Wilson
Mr. Charlie Madding Wilson, 86, of Austin, died Saturday, June 19,1993. He was bom August IO, 1906, in Elk City, Oklahoma, and married Edith Laverne Winslett on October 21,1929.
Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Edith, and three children, Jean A. Nuse of Austin, Charles M. Wilson and wife Jean of New Braunfels, and Elaine Burden and husband Bob of Austin. He also had eleven grandchildren, Colby Nuse, Justin Nuse, Damon Burden, and Brent Burden, all of Austin, Vickie Langston and Theresa Miller of Houston, Tern Harvey, Tracy Wilson and Todd Wilson, all of Dallas, and Steve Wilson and
Kathryn Wilson of New Braunfels. There were ten great-grandchildren.
The six grandsons served as pallbearers at the funeral which was held Monday, June 21, at Cook Walden/Forest Oaks Chapel and Cemetery in Oak Hill near Austin.
Donald G. Lester
Funeral arrangements are complete at Zoeller Funeral Home for Donald O. Lester of San Antonio. He died Wednesday at the San Antonio Convalescent Center at the age of 66.
Graveside services will be Friday June, 23 at 10:13 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston Nation Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon Thursday until 9:30 am. Friday.

People Against Violent Crime

Child Care Training Program
A child care training conference
designed for individuals who work with pre-school children is scheduled for Saturday, June 26 at Lone Star Primary School in New Braunfels. The conference is sponsored by the Texas Agricultural Extension Service. Prc-registraion fee is S3, and the day of the conference is $5. Forms are available in the extension service office at 132 S. A walk to save the fountain is planned for Sunday June 27 at 8:30 a m. The six-mile walk through the parks and historic neighborhoods will begin at the Hummel Museum, and all proceeds from participants’ sponsors will go toward restoring the I OO-year-
