Kasteinsnote 25th anniversary
Larry and Trice Kastein ar£ celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. They were married June 9, 1972, in Waco, Texas, at the home of her mother, Eleanor Harmon. Maynard and Lilace Kastein traveled from Clear Lake, S.D., to attend the wedding of their son.
Sister of the bride, Kay O’Leary, was matron of honor and Maynard Kastein was best man for his son.
The couple spent their honeymoon at the Maricopa Lodge at Canyon Lake and then resided in Seguin for several months before departing for Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where Larry was employed by Northrop Aircraft Corporation.
The Kasteins lived there for five years before returning to the U.S.

They have two daughters,
Kimberly and Devon, who share in the celebration of their parents' anniversary.

Kathryn Gage Stasney Childers
Stasney, Childers wed
Miss Kathryn Gage Stasney and Mr. Staton Michael Childers were married on Saturday, May 24, 1997, at eight o’clock in the evening at The Church of Saint John the Divine. The Reverend Laurens Allen Hall and the Reverend Jon Spencer Stasney, uncle of the bride, officiated at the traditional, doublering ceremony. Music for the candlelight service was provided by Mr. Andrew Bowen, organist, the Paragon Brass Ensemble, soloists Ms. Jonita Lattimore and Mr. Richard Paul Fink, and the church choir. A reception followed at the River Oaks Country Club with music by Sha’on and Success. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at the George Ranch.
The bride is the daughter of Doctor and Mrs. Charles Richard Stasney of Houston, the granddaughter of Mrs. Homer R. Stasney and the late Mr. Stasney of Albany, Texas, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul William Pitzer Jr. of Breckenridge, Texas.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wilson Childers Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, the grandson of Mrs. Leon Wilson Childers and the late Mr. Childers, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dick Tompkins, all of Houston.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose a gown of white Thai silk, re-embroidered with jeweled lace and a wedding veil of antique Brussels lace that was worn by her mother on her wedding day. The bride's attendants wore sapphire blue formal gowns.
Elizabeth Darden Stasney, sister of the bride, was her honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Amy Way Antonio, Carrie Rebecca Chamberlin, Mary Jane Hurst, Jennifer Kerry Malone, and Sarah Cannon Underwood of Houston; Kathryn Hooper Balanoff of New
York City; Amanda Frances Bell of Austin; Courtney Clark Grigsby of San Diego, Calif.; Heather Childers Hall, sister of the groom, of San Antonio; Kay Dannenbaum Lawson and Anna Katherine Oden of Dallas.
Ashley Noel Hall, niece of the groom, was the flower girl.
Timothy Alden Roach of Dallas served as best man. The groomsmen were Steven Ray Davis, Kern David Jodie, Kevin Mark McDonald, William Spencer Stasney, brother of the bride, Blaine Kevin Tompkins, cousin of the groom, and Ronald Martin Weber of Houston; William Christopher Blackburn of Childress; Thomas Yun-Hsu Chen of Santa Barbara, Calif.; Bryan Lee Gillespie of Brenham; James Corey Hall, brother-in-law of the groom, of San Antonio; and John Lawrence Howell of Lubbock.
The houseparty included Dawn Michelle Beach, Courtney Ann Speed, and Traci Rosalie Thompson of Houston; Catherine Elise Collins and Carolyn Elizabeth Young of Atlanta, Ga.
Kathryn is a graduate of St. John’s School in Houston and the University of Texas at Austin where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center and will be employed with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
Staton attended New Braunfels Canyon High School, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University and was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. Ut? ftctfived a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center and is an attorney with Hays, McConn, Rice & Pickering.
Following their honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Mr. and Mrs. Childers will reside in Houston.
