"It was just something that you don't dream is ever going to happen,” she said Rut it did They sold their home in Lufkin moved away from their families and they and their two daughters moved to F’ort Worth so that Curry could attend the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Helene Troth, wife of the Rev William "Bill" A Troth of Believers' Bible Church said that her husband entered Dallas Theological Seminary at age 40 "It meant a move for our family from New Orleans. La . to Dallas, " she said Mrs Troth expressed a conviction shared by many of her counterparts "I don't think He calls one without the other.” she says Lillie McCall, wife of Bill McCall of Herty Baptist Church said. "It is not only his calling but mine, as well These are our people and this is what God has given us We are the shepherds." Their lives are centered on the church Some occupy paid positions in addition to their volunteer efforts Mrs Troth and Mrs Curry, for ex ample, are the church secretaries Mrs Curry also heads Cross Road s children's church, teaches an adult Women s Sunday School class and sings both in the choir and as a duet with her daughter Ann Lewis, wife of the Rev Boh Lewis of F’irst Assembly of (iod. puts in a unpaid fulltime work week at the church in addition to participating in evening and weekend services and activities She said she tries to lighten her husband’s load as much as she can by helping with visitation keeping track of visitors, writing to absentees and doing what office work that the fulltime secretary is not able to get to The Rev and Mrs Lewis co-host i television show that airs at 8 a rn .
