New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - July 29, 2003, New Braunfels, Texas Obituaries SCHINDLER Pat Schindler passed away Friday, July 25, 2003, at his residence in New Braunfels, at the age of 64 years. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Alamo Heights Christian Church in San Antonio, Texas. Services will conclude at the church. The family has requested memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society. Zoeller Funeral Home MENKING Mamie E. Menknig, of Marion, passed away, Saturday, July 26, 2003 at her residence, at the age of 86. Mrs. Menking was born to Ben Elley and Alvina Hier-holzer Elley, June 30, 1917, in Guadalupe County. She married Ervin H. Menking, Sept. 22, 1942, in Bracken, Texas. She loved gardening, quilt ing and flowers. inking if her husband, Ervin H. Menk- lg an Mrs. Mer Is survived by mg. of Marion; daughters, Dar-leen Ball and husband, Joe, of Marion, Priscilla Starnes and husband, Alan, of Greensboro, N.C., and Betty That and husband, Robert, of Marion; son, Darrel Menking and wife, Deb orah, of Bel Air, Md.; son-in-law, Jerry Sharpe, of Birmingham, AL; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Menking was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Sharpe, in 1994. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fellowship Bible Church, with Pastor Dennis Biddison officiating. Interment will follow in Bracken Community Cemetery. Public visitation began at 7 p.m. Monday and will continue until 12 noon today.
