Bomb threat forces Marion school closing By DAVID DEKUNDER Staff Writer 7sdk JLm~SFUN Ier.; FUNERAL HOME MARION — Students from Marion High and Middle Schools were evacuated to Bulldog Stadium on Thursday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in to the high school. Marion Independent School District Superintendent Craig Stockstill said the high school received the call at about 1:55 p.m. The students were immediately evacuated from both schools while a private security company used dogs to search for any bombs in the buildings. The search turned up nothing. “The call was a hoax,” Stockstill said. “We sent the students home at 3 p.m. The dogs searched the buildings until 5 p.m.” No injuries were reported during the incident.
