set water drainage stan dards for County Engineer Tom Hornseth and the Waterwise Growth Study Committee are working on drainage rules that would require developers to Prepare an engineering design Prove that a proposed develop ment will have no negative flooding impacts on properties downstream Show plans for storm water drainage improvements Show that proposed drainage under roadways in a subdivision will handle a 10year flood without allow ing water to overrun the surface of the road and Show the 25year storm water drainage rate in floodplain areas of a storm water drainage manage where water is planned to cross a ment plan that includes a 100year proposed flood The Waterwise committee is look ing at drainage and impervious cov er guidelines to include them in future subdivision the committee has devel oped new water certification rules and reviewed this past years regu lations for onsite sewage The committee was formed after Comal County declared a ninemonth
