■ Rene Cruz, of New Braunfels, Texas has enrolled in the Electronics Engineering Technology program at ITT Technical Institute, 4242 Piedras Drive E., Suite IOO San Antonio, Texas. The local campus is one of a nationwide network of 58 ITT Technical Institutes operated by Indianapolis-based ITT Educational Services, Inc. (ITT/ESI).
The eight-quarter program, which begins June 17, 1996, will help Cruz for an entry-level position in Electronics Engineering Technology.
The San Antonio ITT Technical Institute is operated by Indianapolis-based ITT Educational Services, Inc. (ITT/ESI), a subsidiary of ITT Corporation providing education to nearly 20,000 students through its ITT Technical Institutes. Founded in 1968, ITT/ESI is one of the largest private higher education systems in the country, operating 58 ITT Technical Institutes in 26 states. Established in 1988 the San Antonio ITT Technical Institute offers educational programs in Electronics Engineering Technology and Computer-Aided Drafting Technology to 461 students.
■ The World Waterpark Association recently elected Richard T. Faber president of the 1,009-rrtember international association. Faber’s term as president will run through the fall of 1997. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of WWA’s operation and coordinating policy direction with the board of directors.
A 30-year veteran of the amusement industry, Faber currently serves as director of marketing for Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resorts and BGS International, New Braunfels, Texas. He

began his career at Cedar Point amusement park, Sandusky, Ohio and worked his way up to the position of director of operations. Faber left Cedar Point to join Marriott’s Great American theme park, Santa Clara, California and became vice president of park operations. He later joined Mattel Toy Corporation’s Orlando, Florida, theme park, Circus World as vice president of operations and entertainment.
Faber began applying his theme park expertise to waterparks in 1980 when he joined the Wet ‘n Wild organization in Orlando. During his 12 years with Wet ‘n Wild, he rose to the position of vice president and general manager of Wet ‘n Wild Florida. Faber joined Schlitterbahn Waterpark in 1992 as general manager of the 65-acre waterpark and resort complex. He made the switch to marketing in 1994 and now handles marketing for both Schlitterbahn and its sister company, NBGS International, which designs waterparks and manufactures water features for parks throughout the world.
Faber is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana and earned a Masters degree in business administration from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.

Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Zipp of New Bruanfels and Mrs. Diane M. Zipp of San Antonio, has been selected to the Commandant's Honor Roll in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University for the Fall Semester of 1995.
This honor is bestowed upon cadets who posted at least a 3.00 grade point average for the fall while enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours.
