New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - February 6, 1985, New Braunfels, Texas New Braunfels Hera\d-Zeitung Wednesday, February 6,1985 Grain market, livestock show bn Young Farmers' agenda The regular meeting of the Comal County Young Farmers will begin at 7 tonight at the Canyon High School vocational agriculture department. * According to Russell Lackey, President of the Comal Young Farmers, a program will be presented by Lynn Meyer of ghearson-Lehmann • American Express Financial Services. Meyer will discuss the grain market and future contracting of commodities to help producers lock in profits. Lackey stated that the upcoming Comal Junior Livestock show will be discussed during the business portion of the meeting. The Comal County Young Farmers was organized primarily for educational, community service and leadership development purposes. Recreational activities also play an important part in the Chapter’s program. The Chapter is composed of members from Comal, Hays and Guadalupe counties and is open to any one ages 18 to 35.
