Gerald B. Milner
. Services for Gerald B. “Jerry” Milner, 69, of Canyon Lake will be 0 a.m. Thursday at 3oeppenschmidt Funeral Home in 'Jew Braunfels, with the Rev. Rick ricGee officiating. Burial will follow at Kyle Cemetery in Kyle.
Mr. Milner died Dec. 23, 1991, at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He was bom Jan. 17, 1922, n San Antonio to M.B. and Roy Edith (nee Yantis) Milner. He married Dorothy Dillon on June 2, 1943, in San Antonio.
- He was retired from Otto Dukes Tool Co. in San Antonio and was a member of Cranes Mill Baptist Church at Canyon Lake.
Survivors are: wife, Dorothy Milner of Canyon Lake; daughter, Elizabeth Livaudais of League City; 'brother, Billy O. Milner of Walnut •Creek, Calif.; grandson, Roger D. Dickerson Jr. of Houston; and ^numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Doeppenschmidt "Funeral Home in New Braunfels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may ;be made to: Cranes Mill Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1734, Canyon !Lake, Texas 78130.
Services for Andy Taliaferro, 68, of New Braunfels will be I p.m. Thursday at Zoeller Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
Mr. Taliaferro, a resident of New Braunfels for five years, died Dec. 22, 1991, at his home. He was bom April 23, 1923, in Independence, Mo., to Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Taliaferro.
He married Lucille Wendel on Feb. IO, 1977, in Albuquerque, N.M.
Mr. Taliaferro owned a repair shop and was a recipient of a Purple Heart and Silver Star as a tail gunner during World War ll.
The body will lie in state at Zoeller Funeral Home until service time Thursday. Visitation began early Wednesday afternoon.
Survivors are: wife. Lucille “Mac” Taliaferro of New Braunfels; daughters. Barbara Meurin and
husband Rubin of New Braunfels and Jane Norwood and husband James of Dallas; grandchildren, Steven Meurin and wife Kathy, Jeffrey Meurin and wife Stephanie, Lori Holmes and husband Michael, Donny Meurin and wife Julie, Denise Orender, Chris Meurin and Matthew Norwood; and IO greatgrandchildren. The grandsons served as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizens of Comal County.
Virginia Dillon, 72, a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of New Braunfels, died Dec. 21, 1991, in Dallas after a prolonged illness. Burial at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio followed cremation.
She was bom Sept. IO, 1919. She was a member of the New Braunfels Board of Realtors and co-founder and owner of Dillon Realty Company as was later associated with Red Carpet Realty.
Survivors are: son, Thomas E. Dillon; sister, Lyle Bailey; brother, Robert A. Bailey; three
grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Dillon, and a daughter, Diane Dillon Nielsen.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer* Foundation.
Lola Moore Mouser
Lola Moore Mouser, 90, of Austin died Dec. 20.1991.
She was bom Jan. 31, 1900, in Perry, Okla., to Dr. Samuel A. and Norah Blanche (nee Miller) Moore.
Mrs. Mouser, a former New Braunfels resident, married Curtis J. Mouser of Perry, who died in September 1986.
Surviving is a daughter. Patricia Mouser Heuer of Austin. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Maxine Moore Bradford of Tulsa, Okla., and Kay Moore Shelton of Tulsa.
Wced-Corley Funeral Home of Austin was in charge of arrangements and cremation.

Meanwhile, Interim City Manager Hector Tamayo said about $1,000 in contingency funding was budgeted for the city’s fiscal year, but city officials could not yet estimate the expenses incurred through road damage.
“Wherever the pavement has failed, the money for the asphalt is already there.” he added, and overtime funds also have been budgeted.
City Engineer Bill Dobrowolski said the city's street department had used more than 150 hours of overtime as of Saturday afternoon.
Dobrowolski said the city had used 500 tons of baiasi, 500 ions of base material and 25 tons of asphalt cold mix for road repairs. He added thai many of the damages will not appear until later, when traffic causes the road to deteriorate further.

As for whether the situation will help the plaintiffs, “I don’t know how that might affect the court,” Holter said. “What I hope it helps to do is to bring emybody to the table so that they can get matters settled.”
Antonio resist efforts to limit pumpage and Comal County forces fight to save the Comal Springs.
“Our position is that we want continued, instantaneous, natural flow of the Comal Springs, and our position is basically that that only way to preserve the habitat is through those flows,” Miller said.
Interveners on either side of the environmental “Obviously, San Antonio is totally opposite of suit have turned it into a battle over economic* that. They don’t believe that there needs to be issues, as western aquifer users such as San flow in New Braunfels, (but) that San Marcos is
sufficient, and that they don’t need to do anything other than some conservation to try to protect the aquifer.”
But he said Bunton will not allow San Antonio to make economic arguments during the first phase of the trial.
“Basically, he's going to be looking at biological and hydrological evidence to determine whether the endangered species act has been violated, which is a positive for us,” Miller said.
