Bertha “Bertie” Altwein of Seguin, Tx, died on Thursday, November 28, 1996 at the age of 54. Mrs. Altwein was bom on July 8,1942 to Paul A. Bcsier and Gertrude Alma Boos. She married Raymond Altwein on April 15, 1961 in New Braunfels. Mrs. Altwein was a housewife and attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marion. She was active in the Ladies Guild at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Mrs. Altwein is survived by her husband, Raymond Altwein of Seguin; sons: Chris Altwein and Clarence Altwein, both of Seguin; and mother: Gertrude Hermann of New Braunfels.
Visitation will begin at IO a.m. Sunday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home in New Braunfels and continue until 9 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, December I at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held IO a.m. Monday on December 2, 1996. Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Marion with the Rev. Roger Robbins and Rev. Robert Silverman officiating. Interment will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

Leonard F. Mutchler of New Braunfels died on Friday, November 29, 1996 at the age of 59. Mr. Mutchler was bom on May 18, 1937 to August Leo Mutchler and Philamena Zwespher in Hobson, Texas. He married Jo Hildebrand Mutchler cm April 26, 1960 in New Braunfels.
He was employed as a mechanic by the Comal Independent School District. Mr. Mutchler attended Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he was active in Knights of Columbus, a church lector and commentator.
He is survived by his wife Jo Mutchler of New Braunfels; three daughters: Cynthia Becker and her husband Lonnie of New Braunfels, Karen Jung and her husband Glenn of Denver, Colorado, and Michelle Lohuis and lier husband Jim of Hermosa Beach, California; and two grandchildren: Jordan Jung and James Lohuis.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday- and continue until 9 a.m. Tuesday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home" A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Doeppenschmidt Funeral Home
The funeral service will be Tuesday, December 3, 1996 at 10:30 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Entombment at Sts. Peter and Paul Mausoleum with Msgr Edward Bily officiating.

Paulito Q. Trejo
Paulito G. Trejo of New Braunfels died Friday, Nov. 29, 1996, at the age of 75. He was bom June 7, 1921 to Eusebio Trejo and Felicitas Garcia Trejo. Mr. Trejo married Hortencia Villarreal in April of 1947. Mr. Trejo was a member of The First Spanish Assembly of God Church of New Braunfels.
Mr. Trejo is survived by his wife: Hortencia V. Trejo of New Braunfels; daughters and son-in-law: Mary C. Lopez, Marie Trejo and Rosa T. Torres and husband Marcos, all of New Braunfels; sons and daughters-in-law: Sipriano Trejo, Eusebio and Emma Trejo and David and Emily Villarreal, all of New Braunfels; sister: Refugia Segura of New Braunfels; brothers: Jose Trejo and Jose Gallegos of New Braunfels; nine grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Zoeller Funeral Home.

Walter L. Smith
Walter L. Smith of New Braunfels died Friday, November 29, 1996 in Del Rio, Texas at the age of 48. He was born October- 31, 1948 in Mouhtaindale, New York to Albert Smith and Gloria Fink Smith. Mr. Smith married Brenda Mizell on May 6, 1973. Mr. Smith was a firefighter with the New Braunfels Fire Department. He had been with the New Braunfels Fire Department for 20 years and had attained the rank of Engineer. Mr. Smith served in the United States Navy for four years.
Survivors are his wife: Brenda F. Smith; mother- Gloria Cook of Universal City; sons and daughter-in-law: Billy Joe and Jodie L. Smith, Bobby Joe Smith, all of New Braunfels; daughter, Melissa Ann Smith and Jesse Villalobos of New Braunfels; grandchildren Jessica Smith Villalobos and Kalin Renee Smith; sisters, Darlene and Laura, brothers, Robert and William; sister-in-law and her husband, Joyce and Red Lopanec; brothers-in-law and their wives: Marvin and Donna Mizell, Sammy and Carolyn Mizell. Four nephews, four nieces, two great nieces, and seven great-nephews.

Howell “Lloyd” Mosley of New Braunfels died Thursday, November 28,1996 at the age of 69. Mr. Mosley was bom Decmber 9, 1927 to Redic Mosley and Sylvia Maguffee Mosley in Belton, Texas. He was a life time member of the Sattler V.F.W. Post #8573. Eloisa Guerrero of New Braunfels died on Thursday, November 28, 1996 at Kirkwood Manor at the age of 89. Mrs. Guerrero was a life long resident who attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Santiago Guerrero.
She is survived by daughters, Estella Partida and Maiy Castro, both of New Braunfels; son, Jessie Guerrero of New Braunfel; 19 grandchildren and 34 greatgrandchildren.
A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Friday night in the Morales Chapel.
The funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30, 1996 at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church with Father Richard Overstar officiating. Interment was at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery. The pallbearers were Santiago Guerrero II, Joseph Guerrero, Jessie Dias, Joe Partida, Jaime Tello and Paul Tello Jr.
