2 Comal County 4-H’ers receive Bronze Star Awards
The Comal County 4-H members, parents, leaders and supporters celebrated the accomplishments of 4-H members in Comal County at the annual 4-H Awards Banquet on Aug. 12, at the Comal County Fairgrounds. The theme for the evening was “Roping Success in 4-H.”
Highlights of the evening included the naming of this year’s 4-H Bronze Star Award recipients. The Bronze Star Awards were presented to Crystal Lehmann and Kameron Koepp.
The star award recipients were congratulated and presented their plaque by Comal County Commissioners Greg Parker, Jay Millikan and Jan Kennady.
The new 4-H year begins Sept. I. The intersection of West Coll Street and South Casten Avenue was closed Tuesday so New Braunfels Street Department crews could prepare to resurface the two roads.For Local Dwbs
■ Detour: The east (northbound side) Interstate 35 frontage road has been converted to one-way northbound traffic from FM 306 to Kohlenberg Road. Southbound traffic will be directed north to Kohlenberg Road, then southbound on the west side frontage road.
■ Reopens: In three months.
■ Work: This section of the road will be reduced to one-way traffic for installation of drainage and roadway construction.
