New Braunfels Herald Zeitung (Newspaper) - April 30, 1987, New Braunfels, Texas BrieflyNational League Night Tuesday at N BHS Flayers in the New Braunfels Na tional league will be admitted free to the Tuesday night s game between the New Braunfels Unicorns and the Samuel Clemens Buffaloes The players need to wear their baseball uniform to the game The following Tuesday the Unicorns final home game against the Lockhart Lions, will be American League NightNew Braunfels sets Athletic Banquet The New Braunfels High School All Sports Booster Club will have its an nual Spring banquet at 6 to p m Mas 13 at the Civic Center The banquet will honor athlete1' from basketball, track golf tennis, baseball and soccer teams Tickets are Sa and are available from Athletic Director dim Streets and at Luke s Drive In The public is invitedPanther Canyon hike set for this Sunday The New Braunfels Lark' and Recreation Department will sponsor a Panther Canyon hike on Sunday Participants can meet at the entrance to Panther Canyon at noon The hike is open to all ages and there is a SI fee per person The hike will take approximately two hours For more information, please contact Mark Peltier at 625-5818Soccer clubs register on May 4th/ May 9th Registration for the fall season for the Canyon and New Braunfels Youth Soccer clubs will take place from 2 30 p rn until 7 pm May 4 at the New Braunfels National Bank North Building Registration will also take place from 9 a rn until 2pm on May 9 at the Comal Counts Fairgrounds All players wanting to return to teams they played with last year are urged to register to make sure space will In- available Teams in E F and (. divisions will play with fewer players per side Hie registration fee will be S2t> per player until May ll After June I fees will increase to $23 per player 5 auth soccer is for placers ages 5 18 Registration forms must be signed by a parent and new players must present certificates or other proof of age An all-girls league is planned for the fall beginning with F division, ages 6 and older The girls teams will play locally (within the Mid-Cities Soccer Association).
