The bride-to-be is the daughter of Tom and Kaye Comelison of New Braunfels and the granddaughter of the late Oneida Comelison and Elmer Comelison of Lubbock and Opal and Wilbem Nevil of Grand Prairie. She is a 1990 graduate of Canyon High School and received a bachelor of science in family and child development from Southwest Texas State University in 1996. She is employed by Teen Connection of New Braunfels. The future bridegroom is the son of Kathy Gray of New Braunfels, Walter Gray of Montgomery and the grandson of Dolly and Weldon Nance of New Braunfels and Marie and George Gray of Graham. He is a 1989 graduate of Canyon High School and will graduate in May 1997 from San Antonio College of Mortuary Science. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society.
