Brant James Hellwig of New Braunfels has qualified for the 1992 fall semester dean’s list at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C.
To be named to the dean’s list, the junior was required to receive a grade-point average of 3.0 or better. This selection was H 611-wig’s fifth semester on the dean’s list.
Jessica Emily Poling, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Poling of New Braunfels, a sophomore at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is included on the recently released undergraduate honor roll for the fall 1992 semester.
To be listed on the SMU honor roll, students must achieve a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average or higher, which places them in the top 13 percent of all SMU undergraduates.

refrigeration mechanic course for four months. Major subjects covered were refrigeration installation, refrigerator equipment, vehicle air condition, refrigeration diagnosis and troubleshooting. Casarez has orders to report to First Marine Air-Wing in Okinawa, Japan for duty as a refrigerator mechanic on March 27.

Jesse Czelusta, a senior at Hill Country Home High School and a Comal County resident since 1983, is a finalist in die Josten’s Foundation Leader Scholarship Program for 1993.
He is also a finalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars competition.
She will attend Texas A&M University in the fall and has been awarded a Presidential Endowed Scholarship.
He has been an active member of the Comal County 4-H for nine years and was the first puppy-walker for the Guide Dog Foundation of the Southwest and is
now on his third puppy.
Selection of finalists and recipients for the Josten’s competition is based on outstanding achievements in school and community activities, leadership experience and academic excellence.
Czelusta is one of 1,000 finalists of the 3,700 who originally applied. Recipients will be announced in April.
