Torrance police detectivesinvestigating the murder of 11-year old Teri Lynn Hollis, whose body was found near Point Mugu Friday, are appealing for help from Ventura County residents.The body was clad in only a white T-shirt when it was found among the rocks below the Pacific Coast Highway.“The murderer may have dumped the little girl's clothesin Ventura County and we would like citizens there to be on the lookout for them,” saidTorrance Police Detective Gene Guest.The young girl was strangled and “appeared to have been sexually assaulted,’’ authorities said Friday.Torrance police are looking for a pair of royal blue corduroy pants, size 10-12, white underpants with pink flowers, white bobbie socks, and a pair of “moddislT-lnoking, square-toed oxfords with blue leather patches on the sides.Guest said nearly 75 personshad responded with “pieces of information” Saturday after police had requested help fromthe pub|§.“We can’t afford not to check out all the leads we receive;’Guest said.The young girl was reported missing from her Torrance home Thanksgiving Day and over a hundred policemen searched the Los Angeles suburb until her body was identified Friday afternoon.“Anyone with any information that they think might help should call the Torrance Police Department,” Guest said.
