Probable Murder at Cedar Lake.Crown Point. Ind., March 30.—Albert Knaus, a farm hand, broke Into the sleeping: apartments of Mrs. Nicholas Haan, near Cedar Lake, and stamped her with j both feet, breaking several ribs. He also * struck her with his fists and finally dragged her Into the barn-yard, where he left her lying as if dead. Knaus was arrested and brought here to jail, and last night a crowd of youths and boys surrounded the jail and demanded the prison-«r.
