Detectives said the youths had spent the night sleeping on the beach about 300 feet from where they found the bodies, neatly covered with a green Army-type blanket. They said oneparty was attended by Westmont College students and the other bv about six Mexican-VAmerican men and women.Two men driving a yellow “Sprite” convertible with a roll bar and “bug eyed” headlights, who were seen walking on the beach during the same hours also are being sought in hopes of finding clues that could lead to the identity of the couple’s murderers.A nine-inch bone handled fiSh knife, found buried in the sand beneath Hood’s body, was believed to be the murder weapon. Police said the knife was “very clean” but they were testing material” on the blade that appeared to be blood.Rosary will be recited for Hood at 8 tonight at James A. Reardon Mortuary in Oxnard.
