Slayings May LinkLOS ANGELES (AP)-Homi cide investigators said Friday they were trying to determine if there was a connection between the mutilation slaying of a woman found on Castellam-mare Beach two years ago with a similar killing in Salem, Ore.Detectives John Edwards and Dale Brown said they would leave Monday for Salem to see if a man under arrest there can be linked with the killing of Toni E. Goman. 28, of Worthington. Ohio, whose headless body was found on Nov. 2, 1973.The man under arrest is being investigated in the mutilation-murder of Betty Wilson, 35, of Scio, Ore., whose body was found in a slough near Salem last Saturday.Lawrence It. Marquette, 40, identified as a plumber from Salem, has been indicted for the murder of Mrs. Wilson, authorities said.
