Pleasant will receive a credit on their Bills starting this month but they will also face an immediate increase in rates. R. A. Ford Iowa Southern manager explained the situation As follows. One of Iowa Southern a three wholesale suppliers Michigan Wisconsin pipe line co., made a refund to the Centerville based firm As a result of a ruling by the Federal Power commission on a rate adjustment. Iowa Southern is passing the refund to its customers in the form of a credit on their Bills. Meanwhile Michigan Wisconsin has filed for another rate adjustment that will raise retail rates starting nov. 21. Iowa Southern has said it will make appropriate future refunds to its customers if a portion of the wholesale increase effective today is eventually rolled Back by the pc. The increase for firm residential customers will amount to seventy five one hundredths of a cent or $.0075, per Hundred cubic feet Kcf of Gas. Pleasant City Council with a petition with 266 signatures requesting Stop lights for the intersections of Highway 34 and Walnut Locust and White streets.
