Moscow. Russia (INS'—A renewed Soviet drive to cross the last remaning Nazi foothold in the western Caucasus was underway t day with Red Army units under cover of aerial as-aults mensing the Germans back in the vicinity of the Taman peninsula acrosss the Kerch Straits {rom thu Crimea.
The official organ of the Red army. Red Star, said the Soviet troops had advanced several miles into the Taman area, occupied a strategic village and another unidentified point.
The Red Star disclosure followed a special announcement that the Soviet airmen had heavily raided the port of Taman. The Russian airman rained shells on Nazi troop concentrations and blasted munition and supply dumps.

From over the state come reports that town groups and individuals are planning to see that no important war crops go to waste in their immediate vicinities. Henry county is in the group now needing emergency short-time farm help and must look to the towns of the county to supply that help.
Several signified recently they would help and others no doubt will report to the Chamber cf Commerce that they are willing to go cut for some farm work Anyone who can help some farmer a few hours, a day, a week or a month, should report.
