Washington, D. C., (INS)— Representatives of John L. Lewis’ United Mine Workers Union and the nation s -oal operators resumed* their wage negotiations today despite the fact that a few scattered mines were kept closed by striking miners.
However, most of the 540,000 members of Lewis’ union reported back to work en schedule to end the general walkout in the coal fields.
