Mason City Globe-Gazette (Newspaper) - September 10, 1929, Mason City, Iowa TWO ALLEGED AUTO THIEF CAUGHT Police Nab Man Who Was Attempting Sale of New Car for Attempting to sell a new 1929 Ford sedan drivenonly 2600 miles for the startling sura of J200 ata local garage Monday caused the ar rest ori suspicion of William Polivka who gave his address as St Paul Minnin connection with the theft of thei car in that city 1 Polivka was taken Into custody ly Officer Van Hornafterhe had bartered with the employesof the garage He was brot to thestatlon and when questioned could not give a good account of i himself or show any papers admitting him the law ful owner of the car Police telephoned the captain of detectives Paul and within a half hour heardthata car answer ing thesame description
