Dubuque were killed and Edward Eagle Boy of Mason City was hospitalized Eagle Boy was the driver of the truck pictured here GOP Plans to Ask for Budget Voice Washington will ask for a voice in preparing next years federal budget if Gov Thomas E Dewey is elected and the GOP retains control of con gress it was learned Saturday The new budget which is ex pected to run between 000 and has been undeiconsideration by the Tru man administration for the past several months It will be present ed to congress early in January by President Truman regardless of his political fate next month If elected Dewey would face the almost impossible task of whipping up new spending sheets amending the Truman program on a patchwork basis or asking a voice in preparation of the bud get Congressional sources close to Dewey say he will adopt the 3rd course But they say there will be no public request for such a limited partnership until its ac ceptance is assured in advance Such senators as Irving tilled Friday night and a Mason Cityan was suffering from severe shock after a headon collisionof 2 semitrailer trucks 7 miles east of icre on highway 20 in Illinois Dead were the Robert Bauer family Eagle Boy is employed by the Frank Bysong truck line 2402 S Federal in Mason City His wife was reported enroute home from Omaha Saturday The bodies of the Bauers were removed after several hours of work on the smashed and tele scoped vehicle O A Merrifield Jo Daviess Illinois county coroner said Bauer was enroute to Indiana to pick up a cargo His wife and children planned to stop at Oak Park 111 to visit relatives while he completed the trip Eagle Boy left Mason City Thursday afternoon for Chicago and was on the return trip when the accident occurred Help Bank Not to Patrons Draw Up Wills Webster City Farmers National Bank of Webster City in the future will not help its cus tomers in drawing up wills or other legal documents The bank and a group of attor neys who had filed a suit charg ing the bank with unauthorized practice of aw agreed Friday to a 4point declaratory decree signed by Judge B F Thomas of Tracr The decree ended the 5 day old trial of the suit i The decree states that The practice of law is exclusive ly vested in lawyers A trust institution shall not em ploy a lawyer for the purpose of furnishing legal services to others A bank or trust organization cannot practice law nor draw wills or other legal documents or perform services in the adminis tration of estates and trusts where such acts are by law considered the practice of law The suit alleged the Webster City
