solution of the corporation The suit which is brought under the Sherman anti trust law is expected to be one of the most important ac tions of the kind ever undertaken in this country The governments refineries these shares the petition alleges having been issued contrary to law and that by pur chase by cutting prices and other means the combine secured control of other refineries until they owned 72 per cent of the entire sugar pro lucing companies thus enabling them to fix prices restrain the out put monopolize all by products o raw sugar and sugar beets and ob tain unfair advantage over the com petitors The government asks that he company be restrained from con tinuing its present business system that they be adjudged an unlawful combination and that all illegal is sues of stockbe
