appeared ready Wednesday to announce formally that US Senate investiga tors can question exRussian Igor Gouzenko any time they that the questioning may finger him for the Communists he ex posed in 1946 Prime Minister Louis St Lau rent in astatement to Parliament late Wednesday was scheduled to outlinehis governments reply to a second request from a US Senate internal s e c u r it y sub he had been fired by the State Department for fail ing to take orders However the jurist declared he would ignore the dismissal notice and continue to hold court Clark was recently named head of a threeman group assigned by the American Association of Law yers in Germany to investigate re ports that telephones in the head quarters of US High Commis sioner James B C o n a n t were equipped with recording devices The US High Commission at Bonn issued a statement saying the State Department decided against reappointing Clark due to a decline in court business and for economy reasons The commis conference Boards Deny OK for Petitions in Hancock Areas The Boards of Education from Hancock and Cerro Gordo counties in ajoint meeting Tuesday refused the Ventura Consolidated School District permission to circulate petitions for reorganization in cer tain additional areas in Hancock County However the boards did give ap proval to the Ventura District to circulate petitions for reorganiza tion of the areas located in Cerro Gordo County according to a re quest by the Ventura School Board The boards also granted Ventura Consolidated School District per mission to circulate petitions for reorganization in areas in Hancock County vyhich have been tentative ly assigned to the Ventura district The proposed district includes Ventura and 13 independent school districts in Cerro Gordo County and three townships in Hancock County The Hancock board proposed that persons in the questioned addition al area should be contacted andlet the individuals object in or ob ject out of the
