practicing the good neighbor policy the last sev eral days when friends md neigh bors of six farmers have held husk ing bees to harvest the corn crop Husking bees held at the Freddie Schiioidel farm near Os sian Mr Schneiders right hand was caught in his corn picker lasl week cutting off his index finger injuring his thumb Neighbors of Albert Jirak Jack son Junction husked 30 acres of corn for him They used six pick ers and three grain elevators Jirak was unable to harvest his corn due to illness Fifteen neighbors of L c R o y Phipps Madison Township farmer erected a torn crib and picked 2Z acres of corn for him Phipps was severely injured about two weeks ago when a corn elevator he and two others were working on col lapsed and fell on him Twentyseven men with seven com pickers and a number of trac tors and wagons met at the Ed and Clifford Dingrr farm near Burr Oak and husked 30 acres of corn for them James Oinger the 13yearold son of Clifford Dinger was seriously hurt when he ran into a car on Highway 52 in Burr Oak Oct 30 He is still in an un conscious condition at a Rochester hospital At Castalia neighbors gathered with tractors wagons and five corn pickers to pick 18 acres of corn for Chester Perry who is in ill health Near Decorah 23 neighbors and friends picked 2500 bushels of corn for Jake Loe Lee had parts of three fingers on his right hand am putated as the
