tican Friday has revived speculation that a new era of rapport between theChurch of England and the Roman Cath olic Church may be in prospect The relationship between the two churches was warmed con siderably last Dec 2 when Dr Geoffrey F Fisher ninetyninth Archbishop of Canterbury anc primate of the Church of Eng land became the first head of the Anglican Church to cal upon a Roman Catholic Pope BUT A GREAT gulf of more than 400 years of history separ ates the two churches and no one really believes a reunion is possible The split dates from 1534 when Henry VIII angered by the opposition of Pope Clement VII to his divorce from RSPCA to rescue Big thirst quenched LONDON UPI Londons hardbargaining dockworkers softened their strike stand long enough Wednesday to save the lives of half a million thirsty oysters The dockers whose strike has crippled operations in Lon don harbor responded to an urgent appeal from the Royal So ciety for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals RSPCA and DWaterloo who said they create more egal problems than they cure But he ran into fierce opposition notably from Schroeder and the amendment passed by a narrow 2322 margin THE WAITING PERIOD bill was introduced in this session in an effort to curb socalled marriage mills along tfie northern and eastern borders of the state Iowa law at present does not require a waiting period for marriage
