MASON CITY IOWA TUESDAY MARCH U HOME EDITION Pakistan Demands Mo re Aid SEATO Talks Are Opened MANILA W Pakistan rocked the opening session of SEATO for eign ministers Tuesday with a sharp demand for more economic aid to counter tantalizing Com munist offers Secretary of State Dulles an nounced that the United States has set asidetwo million dollars to train skilled technicians in the SEATO area Australian Foreign Minister R G Casey offered a million pounds in aid for the alliances three Asian members Bids for more aid toAsia were also made by France and but proposals for anj major expansion of present pro grams faced a cool reception from the United States Dulles re 1 portedly feels this isnt the timi to expand SEATO Project Dulles also introduced a resolu tion quickly approved by th members providing for ex change of information between SEATO NATO and the Baghdad Pact Such an exchange is a pe project of the Philipipnes which has been urging a linkup of the three antiCommunist alliances Dulles said the exchange coulc include information on economic problems in each area attend ance of soldiers from other areas at SEATO military exercises anc of representatives at civil
