Service UNITED NATIONS The proposed Malaysia Federation which is already the center of a political storm in the SouthEast Asian islands ringed by the South China Seas is up for still i more mauling in the coming months Facts on the federation are pected to be aired before the UN Decolonization Committee which recently resumed its de liberations and which will likely spend the first two weeks on procedural matters The anti federation case will be pre sented by none other than Sheik A M Azahari leftleaning lead er of the recent Brunei revolt who is expected to arrive here in March The Malaysia Federation which would tie into an anti Communist package the poten tiallyrich but so far loose ends of former British protectorates in SouthEast Asia is expected to come into existence in August It would incorporate in dependent Malaya Singapore Sarawak Brunei and North Borneo The latter three divided from the others by about 300 miles of water straddle the borders of Indonesian Borneo President Sukarno of Indonesia objects strongly to the Federation even going so far as to threaten to use force against Malaya the anchor state in the group The Indonesiabacked revolt in Brunei late last year will be a paramount factor in the UN discussions Brunei a tiny oilrich British protectorate in North Borneo has an area of only 2226 square miles and a population of only 85000 The present regime under Sultan Sir Omar Ali Saifuddin has accepted mem bership in the Federation de spite objections from the Brunei Peoples Party and its leader Sheik Azahari Sheik Aiahari a 34yearold goatced veterinary surgeon would prefer to the proposed federal ion a grouping of only the Borneo components Brunei Sarawak and North Borneo He refers to this grouping as the Unitary State of Kalimantan Utara
