in the US Senate Miller won his partys nomi nation hands down in a rousing windup of the GOP state plat form convention on Wednesday evening I Kennedy j again has I slim edge Voter sentiment fluctuates in fight with Nixon By KENNETH FINK Princeton Research Service Princeton N J If a Presi dential election was held today and the candidates were Rich ard Nixon for the GOP and John Kennedy for the Demo cratic party the race would be very close judging by the re sults of the latest measurement of sentiment Today Kennedy holds a very slight statistically almost neg ligible lead over Nixon A previous poll on the same Competing against four of the five candidates who had run against him in the deadlocked June 6 primary the tax lawyer legislator coasted in on the first ballot in the midst seriously ill in a Dubuque rooming house HOOVER SAID Dr Bartels badly decomposed body was lo cated in the woods across the Illinois line about 10 miles east of Dubuque after an all night search Hoover said the body was found about a mile off US Route 20 a highway between Dubuque and Chicago Tightlipped FBI agents de clined to say how he died How ever Tommy Thompson chief of the Iowa Bureau of he was re leased in March 1951 He was sentenced later in 1951 to a to 15year term for break ing and entering He was pa roled in 1955 and again was sentenced for car theft to one to two years in Michigan in 1956 and was released from the Jackson Mich State Prison last April 4 FBI headquarters said Fe guer was picked up on a tip supplied by James B Alford manager of Friendly Motors in Birmingham who sus picious while Feguer was at tempting to sell the car FB SEARCHERS found tha body after an allnight search on the farm of Arthur kamp beside a lane in a tim bered section a few yards
