Kohl troupe a group of five persons who are slated for the Iowa state fair this year have been scheduled by Manager Charles Rltz to appear at Bayside park this Sunday in three acts Special music will also be pre sented for the acts which will appear at 5 and 7 p m The three acts will consist of the greatest lady equilibrist in a thrilling and spectacular revolving globe act a high balance perch act with daring acts of balancing and ath letic feats and European novelty act with juggling hoop feature ball roll ing and comedy to demonstrate the skill of the hands At 3 p the Collins collegians will meet the Bayside Cubs in a base ball game The college aggregation defeated the Cedar Falls nine after 11 stright victories by the latter The Cubs have lost only a single game this season that Elizabeth Bieber and other relatives once you said youd love me forever and a day RICHARD CONKLIN JOINSU NAVY Passes Final Test in Des Moines Thursday To Train in Chicago CLEAR LAKE July was received from Richard Conkltn Thurs day night that ho had passed the final examination for admittance Into train ing for work in ths navy Dick went to DCS Moines Wednesday where he took the final tests He will be sent to a naval station in Chicago within the next few days where he will spend the summer Dick expects to continue with hli preparatory work havinghad two years in the local high school One year Is given the new recruits in a course which will enable them to enter the Annapolis Xaval slatldn provid ing they pass the required examina tions He enlisted at the Mason City re crulUng station a month ago Rich has resided in Clear Lake for several years making his home with his sister Mrs D F Byera State street Initial Sundown Excursion Planned for Monday Evening CLEAR LAKE July of the new feature attractions offered by the Park company will be Monday evening at oclock when boats will leave the White Pier dock for the opening sundown excursion round the lake For those who prefer a quiet
