Argentine President Got Support of Peronists BUENOS AIRES be spectacled Arturo Frondizi a left wing intellectual is the new presi dentelect of Argentina The sup port of banished Dictator Juan D Peron apparently was a decisive factor in his landslide victory Frondizi ran far ahead of mid dleoftheroader Ricardo Balbin Sunday in Argentinas first free presidential election in more than a decade Nine other opponents trailed way behind Both are attorneys and repre sent left and light wings of the Radical Party a conservative group despite its name Balbin ran for president against Peron in 1952 and Frondizi was No 2 man on the ticket But Frondizis intransigent Rad ical Party collected votes from many of the strongarm segments of Argentinas political spectrum this time His backers ranged from Denies Payoff in TV Case WASHINGTON A Vhiteside Miami lawyer de nounced Bernard Schwartz as an unmitigated liar Monday for having connected him with a television channel applicant and or suggesting he passed money to a federal communications commissioner The lawyer admitted speaking to the FCC official on behalf of the winning applicant for a tele vision channel but that the ac tion was merely on behalf of a friend and that he never was employed as counsel Whiteside testifying under oath before a special House in vesligating subcommittee ac cused Schwartz dismissed com mittee counsel of
