United States as a Russianinspired Moscowdomin ated antiAmerican quasimilitary conspiracy against our govern ment our ideals and our free The description was provided in 100page booklet A Handbook for put out by the sub committee with the avowed aim of exposing what communism really is The subcommittee quoted the Subversive Activities Control Boards finding in 1953 that the Communist party is sub stantially directed dominated and controlled by the Soviet Greatest Effect Chairman Eastland DMiss said in a foreword The average American is un aware of the amount of misin rormation about the Communist Party which appears in the iublic press in books and in ut erances of public speakers In sart this misinformation is plant ed consciously by members of the party using ways and means cal fall victim to its The handbook quotes from Com munist doctrinal writings testi mony in hearings before SACB its own subversive investigations and those of the House Committee on UnAmerican Activities
