title of a Christmas story by Dixie Wilson daughter of Mrs Rosalie Willson 314 South Pennsyl vania avenue The story appears in the current issue of the Delineat or The tlnael of Christmas seems to sparkle in the words of the atbry and the pleasingnarrativeitself is as unusual and as filled with gen erous spirit as the holiday season The tale is told of a village cob bler the genial craftsman Sot a storybook who metamorphosed the nature of the village miser by the nails he hammered into his boots The cobbler pounded hobnails in the pattern of the mis ers initial into the soles of his for no extra charge because he loyed his work On Christmas eve the crabbed customer called for nls purchase On Christmas morning the snow of the village streets was every where marked with the pattern of a boot distinguished by a letter in nail heads Ou each doorstep waited a Christmas present But when the hilarious villagers trooped to the misers dismal dwellir to thank v him he declared he didnt
