Franklin county fair at Hampton GETS FINE FROM KEUEY IN CONTEMPT CASE Pleads Guilty and Makes Payment in District Court Annis Jacobson paid a total of in present and back fines for violation of Uquar laws before Judga C H Kelley in the district court when he pleadedguilty to a con tempt of court charge filed by County Attorney Roe Thompson He was fined 5500 on the con tempt charge and for back fines and costs Jacobson was arrested by police last spring when a half pint of liquor was found in his possession He posted a bond of and did not not make his reappearance lu police court A grand jury in the April term of court refused to in dict him on the grounds that he had already been punished under the city ordinance The fact however that Jacobson had formerly violated the liquor laws and been convicted in the dis trict court made it poslble for Mr Thompson to proceed on the in junction case Jacobson served four months and was to have paid a fine of 5200 and costs last summer He wag succesa ful in evading the payment of the fine and had subsequently been sought by county officials He was arrested by Sheriff G E Cress last week Emburg Forfeits Bond on Failure to Appear William Emburg 612 Eighth street northeast forfeited his bond of by failure to appear in police court Tuesday morning Emburg was arrested by Officer G E Var ner at Third street and Massa chusetts avenue
