humid day recently I started casting around for some subject that would take my mind off the heat and the humidity My thought was that if I could find something to divert me from discomfort it might have the same effect on you the listener After thumbing through a wide assortment of accumulated com mentary material in my files II came up with what struck me as being almost an inspired topic mountainclimbing Like polar ex plorers mountain climbers freeze right in the middle of the summerj in August In this visit with you Ill be talk ing mostly about a friend of mine1 and recalling a
