We find upon examination of the catalogue that this institution was first opened under the name of the Fayette Seminary january 1st, and the school was made a University july 14, 1858, which change was legalized by the Iowa legislature february in 1s57 the faculty consisted of three members at present there Are Twenty two and we doubt taking Alt in ill if i better one can be found in the state. For students wishing Only a second Ary education the Nortnik course is the proper one and it r Young ladies who do not care to take a regular College course the diploma course in Ture und Art has been established. Both of these courses give thorough work t it do not rank with the College courses the College of elocution receives its share of the students. The expenses Here Are undoubtedly the lowest of any similar institution in the state.
