It is the first time that such an expo sition of the mysteries of movie play making has been offered to the public. The series is not technical; it is an interesting account of the ups and downs in the career of amateur scenario writers; the obstacles they face, and how these obstacles are overcome. It covers photoplay writing completely from the initial hunt for a plot to the final marketing of the story. All this and more is explained by the premier scenar ists of the day. Mr. Emerson and Miss Loos have agreed to personally answer your questions about photoplay writing; and to criticize plots submitted by readers of this paper. Amateurs wanting advice will be answered in the columns of The W isconsin State Journal by Mr. Emerson and Miss Loos, if they send their questions to the Motion Picture Editor of this paper. Questions should be sent one at a time and must be confined to photoplay writing. Motion picture plots of not more than 300 words will be read and criticized by Mr. Emerson and Miss Loos if you will send your plot to the Motion Picture Editor with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. The plot will be forwarded to Mr. Emerson and Miss Loos, who will read it and return it direct to you. Their criticism of the plot will be sent to this paper for pub lication in its columns. Your name will not be mentioned unless you so desire. Initials only will be used to identify each question and plot criticism. The first installment of the Emerson-Lx>os series will appear in The W isconsin State Journal Sun day, March 7. This Remarkable Series, with Its Free Questions A nsw ered and Scenarios Criticized Service, will be Published in MadisonExclusive ly in The Wisconsin S tate Journal. It S tarts March 7.
