In 1917, the Wisconsin legislature installed in the a s sembly tho electric voting o y s - tem, doing away with tho old cumbersome method. Now, three years aftsr its in sta llation in the Wisconsin state house, comes word that Francs is considering installation of the same electrical device. Reso lutions have passed the Chamber of Deputies to inatsll such a s y s tem and proposals have been asked of manufacturers. This proposed system is the same as that employed here. Push buttons ars installed on each desk, enabling the a ssem blyman to cast his ballot qu ick ly, and so all may see how he votes. The board, on a side wall, is equipped with electric light bulbs, in red. white, and blue, and each bulb records a "no" or an "aye" vote. At the same time, it enables a quick record and tabulation of the t o tal vote cast. Bobaraff, a young Russian of Milwaukee, is father of the d e vice, and has international p a t ents on it. Wisconsin is the only state in the union which has installed this system. AERIAL FLIV SUCCESS IN FIRST FLIGHT (CO L L E G E POINT, N. Y.- j The first aerial flivver has made a successful trial flight. The tiny plane, piloted by Capt. Jack Foot*, is named the Butterfly. It is designed to carry only one person. It weighs exactly 918 pounds, c o m plete, and has a wing spread of 25 feet and a guaranteed speed of 72 miles an hour. It will sell for $2,500. On its trial flight the little plane took th* air after a run of 75 feet, circled the field s e v eral times and then made a per fect landing. The new plane, its builders contend, can take off and land on the average lawn and be parked there, or in an average sized garage. It ie designed pri marily for the use of the sp orts man aviator.
