At mondays commission meeting Marquez Road in Adelino and Aragon Road on both sides of the us-85 in los Chavez were listed for paving in the Valley and san Mateo and Marquino roads in the Western part of the county. Commissioners said they would Quot come up later with two other projects a one in the Peralta area and one in the Jarales los Trujillo. No starting dates were Given for any of the projects. Discussing state secondary roads commissioners said they would request the state to give no. I priority in the county to the widening and paving of nm-47 from the Valencia a by a to the Belen Bridge and no. 2 to widening and paving of the shoulders on nm-6 from the Belen Bridge to the Belen City limits. Frank Seminara of the Valencia county manpower Board asked the commission for assistance in gathering data on manpower needs for the boards report to the governor and asked what the county could do toward funding future training programs. The commissioners said they would provide a clerk for a month while the Date is collected. Chairman John Berman Sanchez said the county was waiting for More Federal and state information on Revenue sharing to see what they might be Able to do with programs in the future. He said most of the current Revenue sharing monies is being spent on the first priorities set by the commission a roads and Law enforcement. Seminara said he thought on the Job training was one of the Best programs and he Felt it could be utilized advantageously. Seminara also asked the county for help in providing Job information for Valley residents. The history interwoven in the records part Registro de Matr Monios from 1869 to 1905, was discovered inside another record Book by county clerk Pat Heith. She d like to display it in a Glass Case but it will probably go to the state record Center. With a time limit marriage records some written in Spanish begin in 1869 in this Book a contrast to the one presently in use in the background. Of which were during the time the county seat was in Tome parallels the history of protestant missions in the Valley with such names As Harwood Menaul and Ambrosio Gonzales the first Spanish methodist minister among those who signed the certificates. Some of the writing is hard to decipher so the spelling of some names is Uncertain. The first and Only marriage recorded in the books in 1869 was signed by Jose a. Chavez Quot Estrio sex offi Cio Only one marriage was recorded in each year from 1870 through 1873. Then in 1874, a methodist elder came to the Valley. John Steele recorded five marriages he performed that year. Among them were Salvador m. Gonzales and Flora Chavez of Peralta whose witnesses were Jinio Chavez and Carlota s. De Chaves Antonio Weber and Maria Padilla and Adolfo Mirabal and Margarita Chaves. The next year Antonio Weber was a witness at the marriage of Carl Nelson and Luz Sanchez de Chaves. Francisco Duran was Justice of the peace that year and Manuel r. Otero was recording clerk. In 1875, Rev. John Menaul presbyterian missionary to the Laguna indians recorded Quot Rafael Chaves married Perfecta Aragon in his House at the town of san Rafael a old fort Wingate Valencia the following year the county seat was moved to los Lunas and the Little Book went along. That year Thomas Harwood Quot minister of the gospel of . Church signed the marriage certificate of a Chato couple. Quot i married a Man by the name of Jose a Reis to a woman named Al Sagraria Jaramillo a wrote Justice of the peace . Spears in 1877. That was the year Miguel Lente governor of Laguna Pueblo witnessed the marriage of Robert g. Marmon and Agneys Analla who Quot had the consent of her parents she being uder Rev. Menaul performed the ceremony. William Smith of los Lunas married Emilie Frantz of Albuquerque at Peralta with Henrie Huning and Mariano Armijo As witnesses in March of 1878 and the following year Frederick August Kyser of Isleta and Inana Dolores Abeita were married at Peralta. Ambrosio Gonzales a a de la Iglesis Meto dista episcopal de Peralta performed the marriage of Francisco Mirabal y Gonzales and Lidia Chaves y Chaves at Quot de la Plaza de Peralta pct. To.
